Our organic cocoas are selected in Latin America, mainly in Peru and the Dominican Republic, for their exceptional character: fine, aromatic cocoas, as powerful as they are subtle. On site, the beans are roasted and then ground to obtain the cocoa mass - the essential ingredient for our chocolates, as it gives them their distinctive taste. The cocoa mass is also easier to transport on our cargo ship.
Grain de Sail: chocolatier and cutlery maker
At our chocolate factory in Morlaix, we use the conching technique to make chocolate “couvertures”, which makes Grain de Sail both a couverturier and a chocolatier (a rare quality in the chocolate industry). The various milk and dark couvertures (Cacao 37%, 45%, 55%, 62%, 75% and 85%) are conched (refined) and serve as the basis for our chocolate recipes.
A range of 18 chocolate bar references
All our chocolates are made entirely locally in Morlaix, using state-of-the-art industrial tools and the skills of our own teams and those of disabled workers from employment associations. It is thanks to all this artisanal know-how that we are able to offer chocolates that are as innovative as they are delicious. With a full range of tablets and seasonal chocolates, our products will appeal to all chocolate lovers: from milk chocolate for those with a sweet tooth to dark chocolate for thrill-seekers.
Respect for the environment and your taste buds
Because taste and quality are paramount at Grain de Sail, our chocolatiers test and develop new recipes using only organic ingredients and the bare essentials (no additives) for everyone's pleasure and with respect for our planet!
